FOUNDATION COURSE (3 YEARS)

The aim of the foundation course (3 years – 18 hrs/week) is to give every student a thorough insight in how to design, adapt and apply the 26 characters of the Western Alphabet in a justified and responsible way. We are looking for students who are creative, flexible and committed. Our professional staff members are continuing to run their own professional lettering design studios, guaranteeing an updated view on market demands. This gives motivated students the possibility to be closely involved with real projects, learning the ins and outs of handling actual lettering design jobs.

Seminars are obligatory for all students. Students are expected to work on course assignments during the rest of the week.

Courses run from September till June. Duration: two terms of 15 weeks each. Classes are English spoken, but individual feedback can be given in Dutch and French as well.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Overseas students, interested in signing up this coming year, should know a visa application could take up to 8 weeks. Overseas students can only sign up for full-time (18 hours per week) education. European students can sign up for full- or part-time (18 or 12 hours per week) education. Please contact us for more information on visa procedures.
