WHO IS THIS MODULE DESIGNED FOR?
When designing a corporate branding for a company or trying to come up with an exciting packaging design, it is important to have a deeper understanding of logo and alphabet design. This module will take your skills to the next level. A basic knowledge of writing and drawing letterforms is required.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
It seems that these days anyone can design a great logo or create an alphabet. We have never seen so many lookalikes, lacking personality or expression. Having said that, some people still produce truly stunning designs! But there could be more. Designing a logo is simply not an easy thing to do. This module focuses on the importance of research, sketching, sharing ideas, letterdesign and how to pay attention to detail. You will learn to decipher and analyse a brief, listen to the clients needs and understand the importance of clear communication. We will also talk about how to budget a job and negotiate with clients when necessary.
WHAT IS THE EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOME?
When you complete this module, logo design should hold no more secrets. You will have developed a good eye for detail and have experienced what manual and digital precision really means. You will have seen how the slightest change in your design can make a huge visual impact. This skill will help you bring logos to life and show your future clients a wider and more exciting variety when presenting your logodesigns to them.
